5th Annual Encaustic Conference

For the third year in a row, I was invited to be a presenter at the International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown. It was a lovely conference held at the Provincetown Inn. The week following the conference there were Post Con classes at Castle Hill Center for the Arts. On Monday June 6, I taught an all day workshop on Fusing with a Torch. There were 10 students in the class, and we had a lot of fun.

Last year I was invited to be an artist featured in a book being put together by Ashley Rooney. This morning I learned that the book is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com! I am pleased to note that I'm on the cover, as well as my colleague Ellen Rolli (who emailed me to say we are both cover girls).

Danforth Museum Members Show

This spring, I have been creating some more 3D wall objects of sorts. I'm happy to say that one of these pieces was recently accepted into the Danforth Museum Juried Members Show 2010. This show is running concurrently with their annual Off the Wall Exhibit!
My piece is called Blossom (below). It is constructed of found materials and encaustic.
